Heritage Train Service

You can board the steam train at Consall Station at either: 10:42, 12:32, 13:42

Reading the train timetable can be a little confusing! To help, we've briefly explained a sample scenario:

If you join the 10:42 train at Consall you can disembark at Cheddleton at 10:54, visit the Pub or Cheddleton Flint Mill and then catch the 12:20 which arrives back at Consall at 12.32.

... or you can stay on the train returning to Consall via Froghall and arrive back at Consall for 13:42.

It's a great way to explore the local area and see some of the beautiful local scenery as you meander through the valley on a heritage railway line.

A Longer Journey

If you fancy a longer trip exploring the entire length of the line, a total of 24 miles, then you could catch the 10:42 from Consall.

Stay on the train until 12:39 where you disembark at Froghall.

At Froghall you can watch the steam engine take water, talk to the engine driver, enjoy a cup of tea and a sandwich in the tearoom.

Catch the 13:30 from Froghall and disembark at 13:42 at Consall before enjoying a leisurely stroll up to The Plumicorn for a cheeky mid-afternoon cocktail.
