You’re invited aboard the Disorient Express for an immersive murder mystery dining experience filled with jazz age glamour, shadowy suspects, and a crime that demands solving. As the clock counts down to the New Year, enjoy an indulgent dinner, mingle with intriguing characters, and uncover clues hidden beneath the glitz and gin. Dress to impress, trust no one, and remember, on this train, everyone has something to hide.

New Year's Eve
Thursday 31st December 2026
We invite you to arrive for a special Champagne Afternoon Tea, available from 1pm to 3pm. These delicious celebratory dainties will set the mood for a wonderful evening of fine food and celebration.
Your room is available from 3pm; check-in and relax into your outdoor spa bath or take a leisurely stroll around the gorgeous gardens before the evening's entertainment commences.
You can look forward to a sensational 7 course menu, carefully curated and prepared by our team of incredible chefs.
Please make your way to The Plumicorn from 6:30pm for a 7.30pm dinner service, for Champagne and Canapes. Murder mystery dining experience begins at 7:30 pm and finishes at 11:00 pm.
Welcome the New Year with us at The Plumicorn in our relaxed Feathers Lounge, or retreat back to your lodgings to welcome New Year in your Spa Bath under the stars.

We hope that you will cherish every moment of your New Year's Eve break. We invite you to start the new year with a hearty Staffordshire Breakfast in The Plumicorn, served 8am – 10am.
Perhaps you'll take some time out today to peacefully soak up the winter wonderland that surrounds you or rediscover simpler pleasures by making use of the traditional board games you'll find in your room, prior to check out at 11am.

Prices for our New Year's Eve package start at £900, based on 2 people sharing a room.
Q - How do I book?
A - Click Book Now and enter 31st December 2026 as your check-in date and you'll be able to view and book the New Year's Eve Package online.
Q - Are drinks included?
A - Drinks are not included, with the exception of your champagne with you Afternoon Tea, and on arrival for the Murder Mystery.
Q - What time is check-in on New Years Eve?
A - Check in is from 3pm. You're encouraged to arrive a for a Champagne Afternoon Tea served from 1pm on 31st December 2026, before checking into your room from 3pm.
Q - Are children welcome?
A - This is an Adults only event.
Q - When does the event finish?
A - The event finishes at 11pm. You can either enjoy leisurely drinks in the bar, or head back to your room to Welcome New Year in your Spa Bath.
Q - Can we bring our dog?
A - The Lookouts, Valley Treehouses and Glade Huts are dog friendly, however, please be aware that dogs are not allowed inside The Plumicorn Restaurant.
Q - Will the heated outdoor pool be in use?
A - The swimming pool will be open from 10am until 5pm.
Q - Can I book a treatment?
A - Our treatment room will be closed on New Year’s Eve (31st), but open on New Year’s Day (1st).
Q - Can we get room service?
A - Room Service will not be available throughout the New Years Eve Package dates. Thank you for your understanding.
Q - Do you have to participate in the murder mystery?
A- Participation in the murder mystery experience is completely optional. You are welcome to immerse yourself fully in the interactive storyline, or simply relax and enjoy the evening as a spectator while savouring the dining experience and New Year’s Eve atmosphere.
Q - Do you have to dress up?
A - Costumes and themed attire are encouraged but not required. You may choose to dress in character to enhance the immersive experience, or attend in standard evening or New Year’s Eve attire, whatever makes you most comfortable for the night.
