5th May & 12th July. Foraging experience followed by a foraged themed lunch in The Plumicorn restaurant. This experience is designed to get you as involved as possible this includes identifying, picking and tasting a range of wild species that will be found on the day.  Take home your foraged goods.

Kimchi Making Workshop

Join us on Sunday 29th September for a small hands-on workshop in which you'll learn everything you need to know about making kimchi and take away a jar of your own handmade Kimchi.

Mindful Stargazing

9th & 29th March - Book now and join us for mindful stargazing and meditation under the stars at The Tawny with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Stargazing mindfully means looking up at the night sky with wide-eyed curiosity and wonder. Wrap yourself in blankets while you immerse yourself with the starscape above.

Raku Pottery Experience

Back by popular demand. Come and enjoy the art of Raku pottery in the gardens at The Tawny Hotel September 1st. With a two course lunch in our Plumicorn restaurant included. Take your fire glazed pots home with you at the end.

Explore By Steam

The Churnet Valley Railway offers a nostalgic steam train ride through Staffordshire's hidden valley. Guests staying at The Tawny can board the train at Consall Station which is a short country walk from the bottom of our estate. Book tickets online and hop on their public service trains which run most weekends from February to October.
