Dog Friendly Stays

After a long walk through the enchanting gardens, you and your beloved furry friend can cosy up in one of our designated dog-friendly rooms which includes Glade Huts and Boathouses, where you can enjoy lounging out on the deck together, watching the birds swoop by. 

Please note that we can only allow 1 medium sized, well behaved dog, aged 1 year or older to stay at The Tawny. A charge of £30 applies and includes dog bowls and a towel for your furry friend. Dog beds are not provided so please bring your own.

Meandering Pathways

Stroll through the incredible gardens of The Tawny with your furry friend, exploring diverse terrains from wooded hilltops to lakeside lowlands. Explore over 5 miles of meandering pathways around the 70 acres of lakes, woodlands and follies located on the grounds of The Tawny.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times to protect the incredible wildlife that lives in the gardens.

Dogs are part of the family and whether you are looking for a family staycation, seeking solitude or planning a romantic break, you don't need to worry about leaving yours at home.

In fact, The Tawny is a perfect place for owners and dogs alike, with acres of accessible terrain waiting to be explored.

Exploring the Area

Traverse the trails of the neighboring Peak District together. With stunning rock formations, rolling hills, peaceful pools and hidden valleys, there's a whole lot of adventure waiting in this world-famous area.

Just a short step from The Tawny, you and your lucky dog can explore the nearby nature reserve, stroll along the winding canals or investigate the Churnet Valley.

Just a few miles from The Tawny is the dog-loving market town of Leek, home to an array of dog friendly shops, cafe's, craft bars and pubs.

The Bar

There's no need to abandon your pooch when you are ready to enjoy the laid back atmosphere, delicious drinks and delectable treats on offer at The Feather Lounge.

The Feather Lounge is located in The Plumicorn at the tip of our largest lake and well-behaved dog's are welcome to accompany you as you relax, with a well deserved drink (or two), after a long day of excitement and exploration.

The Plumicorn Terrace

Bring your prized pooch along to The Plumicorn Terrace and enjoy the fresh air, listening to the sounds of nature, taking in the stunning views of the gardens and enjoying the incredible food created by expert chefs at The Plumicorn restaurant.
