Join us for a Beginners Modern Calligraphy Workshop.
2.30pm - 4.30pm
You'll enjoy a friendly, relaxing introduction to the beautiful art of dip-pen calligraphy.
Our instructor, Heather, will guide you through using a nib and ink to create basic strokes and form letters of the alphabet. You will learn how to join letterforms to write beautiful words and phrases and create greetings cards, tags and posters to frame at home.
This is the perfect gift to experience with your mum this Mother’s Day as you spend two quality hours together with a glass of fizz, learning something new, in the beautiful surroundings of the Tawny Hotel.

You will receive the Leigh Calligraphy Beginners Kit to take home. This includes your very own nib, straight pen holder, pot of black ink, Leigh Calligraphy practise worksheets and layout paper; all inside a personalised bag with your name handwritten in beautiful calligraphy.
To make things a little extra special, we'll make sure you enjoy a glass of chilled Prosecco to enjoy during the workshop.
This workshop is best suited to total beginners, it doesn’t matter if you’re left or right handed or if you don’t have particularly neat handwriting! Anyone can learn calligraphy.
